As of right now, NCAA Tournament bracketologists and analysts are trying to figure out where each team that will potentially be in the NCAA Tournament be seeded where. This is one of the best times of the year in all of the sports.
March Madness Predictions will be easier to make when the brackets come out, but that isn’t the case right now. What are some more betting odds in regards to seeding for teams who will potentially be in the field of 68?
Murray State
The Murray State Racers were ranked in the Top 25 for most of the year in college basketball. Murray State has a money line of -120 for both being over an 8.5 seed in the NCAA Tournament and also under an 8.5 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The fact that one field has them projected as a ninth seed in the NCAA Tournament.
The Racers should be a number four or a number five seed in the NCAA Tournament, but they won’t be because bracketologists think they play a bunch of nobodies. How does a 30-2 record with an 18-0 conference record only get a low seed? This is like Gonzaga Bulldogs’ major good this year what they did.
Murray State plays in the Ohio Vally Conference. They won the regular season and the conference tournament in that conference. The Murray State Racers should be an over 8.5 seed easily and bet the -120 money line on them for that. If they get the under, the joke is on the NCAA seeding committee.
Arkansas
The Arkansas Razorbacks played in a very tough SEC Conference throughout the regular season. Arkansas is projected to be a number four seed in the NCAA Tournament right now. They are potentially on the line of being a fourth seed, a fifth seed, or sixth seed. Throughout the regular season, they haven’t felt like a Top 16 team in the country.
The Razorbacks have a -115 money line for being over a 4.5 seed in the NCAA Tournament and they have a -125 money line for being under a 4.5 seed in the NCAA Tournament. They finished with a 24-7 record overall during the regular season and had a 13-5 conference record.
The only way Arkansas will probably be at least the fourth seed is them reaching the SEC Championship Game or winning the SEC Tournament, which isn’t probably going to happen either. Bet the under 4.5 seed for the Arkansas Razorbacks with a money line of -125.
Illinois
The Illinois Fighting Illini being potentially over a 3.5 seed in the NCAA Tournament is a -145 money line and the under a 3.5 seed in the NCAA Tournament is a +105 money line. Illinois tied the Wisconsin Badgers for the best record in the BIG10 throughout conference play with a 15-5 record, but the Fighting Illini somehow got the number one seed in that tournament.
They are projected to be the fourth seed in the NCAA Tournament. Illinois is one of the top 16 teams in the country and they also finished with a 22-8 overall record throughout the regular season.
The only way they don’t get the fourth seed is that they have to win the BIG10 Tournament. Wisconsin and Purdue are better teams than they are though. Bet the +105 money line that the Illinois Fighting Illini will be under a 3.5 seed in the 2022 NCAA Tournament.
UCLA
The UCLA Bruins finished with a 23-6 overall record throughout the regular season and a 15-5 conference record in the PAC-12. They are projected to be the fourth seed in the NCAA Tournament. The odds for them to be over a 3.5 seed in the NCAA Tournament is -140 and the money line for them for under a 3.5 seed is EV.
Betting on UCLA in this situation may not be worth it here.
